Welcome

Acorn International Summer School is a unique place for children aged between 7 and 12 years. Here they can learn academic English in an exciting location set in the heart of rural Yorkshire, yet within easy travelling distance of many internationally renowned places of interest.

Our courses are specially written for 7 – 12 year olds and offer a fully inclusive programme that targets their interests and educational needs. This programme includes:

  • 15 hours of English classes a week (preparing children for the City and Guilds examination at the end of their stay),
  • 10 hours of primary school subjects, including maths, geography, history, British studies, art, science, music and sports.These are aimed at improving English fluency and confidence through interesting and interactive lessons and are taught by well qualified and experienced teachers.
  • A busy social programme that includes visits to famous British cities and attractions as well as traditional British activities such as beach games countryside walks.

Our experience and commitment to working with children in small groups means that you can rest assured that your child will receive the highest quality teaching and care while they stay in England.
